VIV SUPPRESSION PRODUCTS

STRAKES
AIMS fixed-fin vortex strakes are designed for ease of installation and are custom manufactured to project specifications. The strakes can be installed via S-lay, J-Lay and Reel-Lay, as well as our patented ROV-friendly design.

FAIRINGS
The patented AIMS Dual-finned Flow Splitter (ADFS) fairings are used to suppress vortex-induced vibrations in any region of a steel catenary riser (SCR), drilling riser, or structural tendons. The ADFS is an alternative to the conventional “tear-dropped” fairing and is more stable and efficient at reducing drag and vortex induced vibration (VIV).

FIBERGLASS STRUCTURAL PRODUCTS

AIMS stringent QUALITY ASSURANCE program requires any structural system sent offshore to be completely assembled onshore and verified for accuracy and completeness. This can save valuable time and money due to the critical nature of offshore work and the difficulty of fixing problems offshore. Since AIMS fabricates and installs its own fiberglass structural systems, quality is assured throughout each phase of the process. Once offshore, the structural system is de-crated and assembled by crews highly trained in the art of fiberglass structural fabrication. AIMS’ offshore and off-site installation crews provide the flexibility to service what it sells, and ensure the client receives a successful installation.

PLATFORM & DOCK FENDERING SYSTEMS

AIMS provides the design and fabrication of platform and dock fendering systems for the offshore oil and gas and refining industries. (FRP) Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic

Fiberglass structural systems consist of molded and pultruded fiberglass grating systems, access platforms, ladders, handrail systems, platform ID signs, and many other applications. Almost any structure that can be built in steel can be built with fiberglass by AIMS.

FIBERGLASS SECURITY FENCING

FIBERGLASS SECURITY FENCING, OR ELECTROSTATICALLY NON-CONDUCTIVE (ENC) FENCING SOLUTIONS

Fiberglass security fencing, or electrostatically non-conductive (ENC) fencing, can be used instead of metal fencing anywhere, and it is most beneficial when used in places where there are corrosion concerns (FRP is non-corrosive), or conductivity issues (FRP fence is non-conductive and invisible to radar. The FRP fencing materials are fire retardant.
